Innovations in arthroscopy are produced with the slide-cut method. Introduction of an electronic document filing system.

The product range is expanded by instruments for cardiac surgery. A separate "Coratec" brochure is created. A laser marking device is put into operation.

A brochure about the Dicratec series is released.

Bipolar non-stick tweezers are included in the programme.

Further developments are implemented in the fields of VATS, lobectomy and special instruments for thoracic surgery.

Annette Dufner joins the company, representing the second generation.

Move to our additional production facilities at Stockacher Straße 130 in Tuttlingen.

Thoracic surgery is added as a special department.

Transformation into DUFNER INSTRUMENTE GmbH. Start of our product portfolio for minimally invasive surgery and entry into equipment technology.

1988
Inauguration of the expanded company building. The administration, storage and shipping facilities are relocated to the 2nd floor. A representative showroom is created as the centre of the building. The first complete main catalogue of general surgery is created and printed.

1987
The introduction of an instrument programme for arthroscopy represents our entry into minimally invasive surgery.

1974
Completion of the basic shape of the company's current building in Föhrenstraße 9 in Tuttlingen.

1965
Founding of the DUFNER family business as a private company in Bahnhofstrasse 79½ in Tuttlingen. OEM products are produced and needle holders and clamps are manufactured and sold under its own name.
